Royal Grove Waikiki

Location was perfect, not even a 5 min walk to the beach. Store next to hotel stays open till midnight for any thing you need. Staff was excellent ! Extremely accommodating to those who need to check in early with their luggage or hold untill plane leaves . Pool was nice , some nights you’ll see somebody on the piano they have or others performing music. Kitchenette was well supplied and all tv and air conditioning systems worked :) Nice patio with outside table and chairs.

Location , size of room , kitchen , pool , comfort , reception , housekeeping , view from balcony and people watching , a bit run down but everything worked , electric kettle , microwave and 2 blocks from beach . Reminded me of a Gold Coast hotel I stayed in 40 years ago .

Upon arrival the staff were very friendly! They were happy to store our bags until check in without us asking. The aircon was nice and cold, the property was clean and the bed was very comfortable with good sheets and clean quality towels.

Small, but very functional kitchen. Great Manager! Super clean, clean, clean!!! Beds took up most of the space in the room, and were very comfortable. Location is about 2 or 3 blocks from the beach. I walked to Safeway 1.4 miles away and made simple meals in the small kitchen. Kitchen included bowls, plates, flatware, strainer for spaghetti, coffee maker, filters for coffee! and even sharp knives for steak. Had I cooked a steak I had a broiler pan in the oven as well! Also a can opener. Only thing missing I can think of was toaster. Fridge was bigger than the tiny ones some hotels utilize, and included a freezer with ice cube trays! To me this is the way to experience HI, eat two meals a day inside the hotel room and go out once a day for a more elaborate meal. This place is a diamond in the rough.

The location is amazing! They're right in the heart of Waikiki Beach. We were literally two blocks from the beach. The rooms were very clean and cozy, but had enough space for my son and I to relax and stretch out. Our private balcony was right above the streetso we could see all the action going on outside and we had a clear view down to the beach. The staff was very friendly as well. I definitely recommend this hotel. You can enjoy a Waikiki stay without spending as much for a room as the other hotels. Besides the fridge and microwave, they even had a stove with cookware, plates, bowls and utensils, so you could even prepare your own meals instead of having to eat out all the time.
